Just got me an LG external hard-drive, loaded it with Music and plugged it into the Rear USB-port of my TX-NR3009.After initializing it said "NO STORAGE", then i plugged it into the Front USB-port and then the hard-drive is recognized and operationable.Formatted the hard-drive to FAT32, repeated the whole process but it still isn't recognized at the Rear USB-port!Why, and what am i doing wrong?
Hello Eric, there are different USB-Versions for front (2.0) and rear (1.1) implemented. As result of this, is it possible that your hard-drive doesn't work on rear USB port.
Traded the LG external hard-drive for an WD external hard-drive.(both where USB 3.0 - NTFS formatted and LG =750 GB and Wb=1 TB)Every works just fine now with my WD external hard-drive connected into the Rear USB-port AND Front USB-port of my TX-NR3009.Thanks for answering...
I'm using a UFW-1 wireless adapter with my TX-NR3009. When setting it up, the remote doesn't work and I have to use the front panel. The remote works at all other times, and the instructions say you can use the remote during UFW-1 setup. Any ideas?
you need to make sure that the remote is in receiver mode , it sounds like when you switch to the usb input you are not pressing receiver button again so you can operate the receiver functions.....probably.
Hello,Can someone help me?I purchased the Onkyo TX-NR3009 this week and stuck with an question.I had to adjust the A/V Sync to -145 msec. to keep audio in sync the my television. But when the reciever is switched off the A/V Sync is set to 0 msec. again. Is this a Firmware issue or am i missing something in the manual? Thanks,
Hi Eric - to be able to help you here, I'm going to need some more information please - what sources are you having this lip sync error with? And how are they connected to the 3009?
Hello,I'm using a AC-Ryan connected with HDMI kabel to the reciever and the recievers main output is connected to my television (philips led tv 40PFL9704H) also with HDIWith the A/V Sync adjustment i'm able to get sound, picture and sound coming from my tv perfectly in sync. What troubles me is that i have to re-adjust the A/V Sync level every time i start up the reciever...I recently found out that the reciever 'remembers' the A/V Sync level when its adjusted above zero (+145 msec), instead of A/V Sync level on 'minus' 145 msec...regards,
Hi Eric - because you are using HDMI to carry sound from the AC Ryan, the 3009 can automatically detect any lip sync problems and correct them itself. To do this, go into the setup menu -> Hardware -> HDMI -> Lip Sync and turn this to ON. It will stay on when you switch the receiver off and that should solve your problems.
hi.. i got a tx nr 3009 . and i just get error on the subwoffer. when i use audyssey. i use two subwoffers. what to do??
can you give me some more info please ,inc brand of sub
I got two sony sa-wm40. and i use a 5.2 system.
When you run your Aydyssey test do the subs sound very very quiet, then it fails the setup, if so I would turn up the output of the subs first so the reading is at 80db, give that a try.
Thanks, but should I set the front speakers to full band or 80Hz (THX)? I have Dali Ikon 7 mk2. it works shown I take the front speakers 80Hz (THX). But not in full band mode. should not it?
Personally when I'm setting up a system I'll always cross over the speakers at 80 Hz THX Mode,
ok.
Prejudice. I have a receiver tx nr 3009 in service for over a month for a problem with hdmi inputs. The object and Italy (Genoa) waiting for the arrival of a new replacement. Onkyo has just possible that these times to provide spare parts? I had problems with yamaha, but the replacement came within a few days. If this is the Onkyo support I swear it's the last product I buy!
have you send a mail via our customer care page ? I can then take a look at this for you if I have a ticket number, here's the link if you need it - http://www.uk.onkyo.com/en/authorised-service-points-378.html#onkyoServicePointsMap

It's been 15 days and the center is still waiting for onkyo give him the availability of spare parts. I have a private shower contattatre via e-mail Tecnofuturo onkyo Italian importer, who did not deign to answer. Possible that for a product recent need to wait all this time for the availability of a replacement?
Fixed .... I spoke with the manager Tecnofuturo Italy. thank you
Just to let you all know, if you own a TX-NR3009 / TX-NR5009 or PR-SC5509 there is a firmware update that now adds Audyssey Pro, so you can now employ the services of a Audyssey Installer and get even more from your system.
